reflection
I have learned how to use multimedia to make my projects better and cooler. In the photo project i learned how big a diffrence one picture can do and in the app project taught me about how to make an app. In humanities we work on a lot of projects so i would use these skills to make my project better. It was a a chalenging class because of the many computer problems which kept on pushing me back since I couldn't finish my work. I would change the app project because i felt that it wasn't usefull because i have no apple things to intrest me in the thing.

Three apps
The first app:iconnect cube
The app is played with a cube with diffrent animals on it. You select pairs and evade the other animals.
The reason you should choose this app is because it would help you pass time on airports or taxi's. it seems challenging and could keep you consentrated.
App 2: Padadas
The app is played by making lines to get teretory. You cannot touch the moving balls or you loose a life. To win you need to evade 75% of the surface
The reason to use this app is because it simple but still very fun to use. Like the one above it addicts you and keeps you concentrated in boring places.
App 3:
My app: Shuffler
Free frst month then costs 0.99cents
Shuffler has two functions. The first is to choose a random app on your iphone/itouch for you to play. The second is to look at all your apps and search for apps that might intrest you based on your current apps. If turned on for a day it should atleast find from one to 10 apps. The shuffler idea is to help people who are bored and can't choose which app to play. Could be usefull when you have a lot of apps.

My own slideshows
http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2009/08/18/sports/20090818SPTSREPLAY_13.html
Authour: It is a collection of different peoples photograph.
I think that the presentation was effective because it combined two different medias, text and pictures. This gave you a visual picture and a sentence telling you what is going on in the picture.
Though they used two different medias i still felt that they could of done it better. I would have liked to know why the slide shows creator chose these pictures and what happened after or before the picture. The slide show doesn't tell me those things. The emotions this slide show provokes is basically interest. When i see the slide show I want to know more about each image. IT makes me interested in what has happened in the world of sports recently. That also answers number 5, it could be used to get peers intrested in the world of sports. That is the only thing I could think of.

Author: pictures from different sources.
The presentation was effective because it combined images and words to get the point across. It told where it took place, what was happening and who was there. This was effective because i could get a visual picture of what had happened, what was happening and what was about to happen. I would have liked to have known more about how well it was seen in all the pictures and if any islands experienced this eclipse. The images shocked me because everyone seemed to be ready to see this short eclipse and had got there hands on glasses to protect there eyes. I personally would use this slide show in science to explain eclipse and show the picture. It would also teach the students to not look at the sun during an eclipse.
(I am not sure how to screen shot at home because I have a pc so I will put it in next class)

I think this presentation was effective because of its use of sound pictures and quates. The pictures showed the families it was about while the people who were in the pictures where telling there story. This was effective to me because it made me feel sympathetic annd understanding to there situation. Theonly problem I had with the presentation was that I would have liked to have heard the opposing peoples point of veiw on the whole thing to give me an more open minded view of the situation.

The things that made this presentation effective was that they had sounds from what happened that day and pictures that fitted the sound perfectly. They also had text at the bottom to explain what you didn't understand from the other media. I was disapointed at the end becaue it said that they started searching for the killer but never said if they found them or not. The emotions i felt while watching this slideshow was sadness because someone died but I also felt angry because of all the fighting going on in this world.
